William L. May’s Greek Revival house on Fourth Street is more of a townhouse style; several examples of this style and vintage architecture can be found in St. Louis.
William L. May was a lawyer and US Congressman. He was the original owner of the pyramid-shaped grand piano featured here. May eventually sold this house to Charles Lanphier.
